There are so many amazing websites out there offering information and resources for prospective and existing TEFLers. All you need to do is "Google" it, right? But there is a catch (isn't there always?), so look out!

Most, if not all, of these require you to sign up (so you can expect a subsequent barrage of emails) and/or there is a product (often a course) to buy. I believe the economist Milton Friedman popularised the well-known adage, 'there ain't no such thing as a free lunch.'  Indeed . . .

So, my aim here is to provide just four online resources to get you started. I think they are sound, and last time I checked, free. Enjoy!

This PDF provides a basic overview of the TEFL/ESOL landscape, including ideas of where / how to find work.

A no-frills, short, accessible PDF guide to TEFL/TESOL from a UK-based overseas volunteering organisation.

This website has been around a very long time. It is still a great source of information on jobs and life as a TEFLer in general.

Everything you may wish to know about TEFL jobs: where they are, what is required, and what the terms and conditions are like.
